Winnemucca Lake

This "lake" located just to east of Pyramid Lake in Nevada used to be a great place to fish and enjoy the summer days. And then, in the 1930's, the rivers running into the lake were re-directed and the lake completely dried up!

And Just after the Jack Rabbit went away, I found this red ant colony. They were pretty fun to watch. Millions of them were on the ground and they all knew where home base was

Ancient Lava Formation

This lava formation, called a dike, is located between Pyramid Lake and Winnemucca Lake in Nevada.
